What a great find! My wife booked this place based on reviews and boy it did not disappoint! The service was absolutely incredible, matched by the amazing food. Honestly we can’t rave about this place enough.
Everyone was so friendly, accomodating and helpful. There was no ‘one standout dish’… everything was amazing, especially the tiramisu!
Do yourself a favour and visit.
Thanks Italian and Sons.
Been here a few times now and can highly recommend this restaurant for the experience it provides.
The service is excellent - fine dining but not overly aloof.
The food is outstanding. You can taste and feel the quality of the ingredients used. For example, I think i could almost drink the olive oil used to dress the carpaccio.
A la carte may tempt, but I would highly recommend going in for the tasting menu. For the price, the experience is fantastic and relatively affordable as a special occasion.
I look forward to returning.
Possibly the best Italian restaurant in Canberra, and one of the best in Australia. The cuisine was truly authentic and the service was excellent. The tiramisu was to die for! Will be back! Davvero Bravissimi!
A warm, lively locale with good food and attentive service. Attentive waiters who attend to your needs autonomously. Cosy, warm ambience making the interior lively and noisy. The menu is reasonable with plenty of choice. I had the mushroom entrée, the barramundi special, and a cannolo for dessert. All dishes were high quality. The only feedback I could suggest is that lemon zest is needed for such a Sicilian dessert, and fish always needs fresh lemon juice. Tragedy. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience, best shared with friends.
If you are in Canberra then you have to come here and try this place. The wait staff are very friendly, knowledgeable with the dishes and seem to be happy working there. It’s always busy so best you book.
The food is incredibly tasty. I know there has been some issues in the past with potentially small amounts of food on the plate. But I felt the portion size was good for me.
Actually the food is incredible if I am to be honest. The only reason I didn’t score it a 5 star is because I can’t choose half a star for desert options. I felt they could do better in this department.
Very fancy and nice tasting but needs to add one or two extra items. Or at least a slice of baked ricotta cheesecake 👍
Great service all around. We ordered two pasta types, each cooked to al dente perfection, with sauces packing so much flavour. Would love to return and try some other mains next time.
Truly wonderful, couldn't recommend this Italian less than any other.
Firstly greeted by wonderful staff when attending with a work colleague.
We were promptly meet by our waiter with the menu and specials of the day. Not only do they know the we'd like some starters, the specials of the day were explained clearly and my dietary requirements understood.
The antipasti were wonderful, freshly sliced meats hit the spot. Highly recommend the ricotta with honey and bread, superb!
Next the mains were a delight, steak was cooked to perfection. Plus we had a side of beans, wow so tender that I can't believe.
We forgo the delightful looking desserts and were given a delightful send-off.
Definite return factor here in Canberra's hot Italian restaurant scene.
Had an enjoyable enough meal and when my daughter arrived to enjoy a desert with us We were told there was no room for her or her partner. The restaurant was half empty by this time we were quite perplexed - so we opted not to have a dessert or coffee at all - that’s 4 desserts 4 coffees and 3 wines we didn’t order.
Staff members pacing the floor even before we had finished our main meal is off putting - we were feeling rushed by this. All in all a forgettable experience - there are so many other restaurants in this city with equally if not better food that appreciate their customer -
My guest from UK hasn’t mentioned this restaurant since that night - yet remembers quite well and talks about all of the other fabulous eateries we went to -
